Lets not do the fad thing

We should all enjoy are self’s and eat what we want now and then. But as a health and fitness writer. I am very sensitive to the articles, which suggest the quick fix, which are abundant in the health and fitness glossy magazines. Here at Living Within I like to think we tell it how it really is.

Summer or New year comes around this is when you have people who are at there most venerable and are prepared to try anything that sound like a short cut. Because these articles suggest that if you basically just eat next to nothing for week or more you will lose weight. You do not need to be Einstein to relies this is true. But come on this is not sustainable as a life change and bottom line it is just not good for you.

Then the Sun comes out next year or it suddenly becomes 2007 and we are a couple of pounds heavier than we were before so we do the same thing all over again as we did last year but we have spent most of the year unhappy with our weight. I am not going in to go in to detail on a suggestive eating plan now but if it sounds like it is all to good to be true it is. As well as selecting the right foods. We just need to proportion the amount of energy verses your calorie intake you expend on a day-to-day basis. . i.e. if you are not that active you will need to consume less than someone who does manual labor all day.

So please remember this article when you next read about the next flashy diet where you can loose (6 stone in two weeks).
