Greater than the Sum of its Parts

I am in a 7-day a week team based sport where there are many advantages to being able to use other athletes’ motivation on days where mine is lacking and visa versa.

There are mornings when any of us may wake up when you think how am I going to get X Y Z done but somehow if you have the momentum of other people around, you can turn an impossible day into something very possible and rewarding.

With this in mind I then think of you the person at home who has the good intention of going to the gym but can’t quite get enough motivation behind them to make those steps outside the house to do this.

Now I am not saying that you need to get involved in a team based sport but if you did great. Working towards a common goal as a group of individuals in a well organized team is much easier motivation – wise and boosts confidence i.e. “greater than the some of its parts”

You could start by taking the initiative and speak to friends, family, next door neighbours or maybe even get a gym buddy or join a class, whether it is swimming, spin, step, pilates, body pump and I could go on.
